How to Hide a Field or Button

Note The steps for this task are the same when using Global Extensibility  with the exception of accessing the Configuration mode.

Note Caution should be used when using the Hide option. A field should not be hidden if it is required for validation or verification.  A button should be hidden if there is even a remote chance it could be needed. A better option may be to use the Move option so that the object is defaulted to another out of the way location but still visible and accessible if needed

Click on the [User Extensibility] button for the field or button to be hidden

Click on the Hide option

When the screen refreshes, the object is hidden. In this case, the field is no longer visible.
