Awards and Orders Overview

VSS allows anyone to search for awards (QA), acquisitions orders (QO), and purchasing orders (IO). The award/order search results provide summary information for each award/order. Only the conformed copy (or most recent version) of the award/order will display in the search results. However, the user is able to view previous versions of the award/order from within the viewed award/order. From the search results, the user that is logged into VSS and has invoicing rights can create referenced and standalone invoices.

Awards and orders only appear in the search results for a site-configured number of days. In addition, cancelled awards and orders as well as closed out awards and orders do not display in the search results.

Although the user does not have to be registered in VSS in order to perform a search for an award/order, the user is unable to view the details of an award/order unless the user is logged into VSS and is associated to the awardee DUNS+4. In addition, the award view provides access to the generated award/order as a PDF document for viewing and printing, if provided by the procurement system.

Note:  Users not logged into VSS will see only Awards (QA) and Acquisitions Orders (QO). Orders associated with the users DUNS+4 will only be seen when the user is logged into VSS.
