Vendor Search

The Vendor Search is a querying tool used to access detailed vendor account information. The Vendor Search query enables the user to view vendor records.

The Vendor Search query can be accessed using the following path from the desktop:

Vendor>Vendor Search

The Vendor Search query contains several types of information. The screen contains the following buttons, sections, and fields (click each tab for more information):

There are several buttons on the Vendor Search query. Some buttons will not be active if a record is not selected or if the user does not have appropriate permissions.

Button Description

Search

Edit

The Edit button accesses the Vendor Information screen if the user has "Update" rights.

Clear

This is the search page.

Search Criteria

Field Name Description

Vendor Registration Number

Click on the VRN to view the vendor details.

Vendor Code

Vendor Name

DUNS+4

UEI

(Unique Entity Identifier) - An identifier used to identify a specific commercial, nonprofit, or Government entity.

EFT Indicator

EFT Indicator - Unique code used to identify additional bank accounts associated to a single UEI.

Vendor Address Code

Agency

Bureau

Agency Location Code

DODAAC

Currency

Summary

Displays the same information for the search results.

The summary provides two helpful capabilities:

  1. View as CSV - VSS users will have the ability to view search results in CSV so they can copy their search results externally to their computer for further research.

  2. Sort Provides the ability for VSS users to sort summary results based on multiple columns and ability to arrange in sequence.
