Vendor Information Overview

Anyone can access VSS and search for solicitations and awards/orders without registering in VSS. But to access additional Procurement, Billing, and Electronic Invoicing features, a vendor must register. Users in an external system (e.g., Momentum Acquisitions) may select vendors eligible to register in VSS; although it is not required for a vendor to register.

For vendors already pre-registered in the financial system (i.e., Momentum), their vendor information will be available for viewing after the registration is approved in VSS.

Following submission and approval of the Vendor Registration, the vendor may create a Vendor Profile if needed. The Vendor Profile can be created from the Vendor Information screen located on the Vendor menu. The Vendor Profile consists of various information about the vendor and the use of VSS:

Note  Vendor Profiles are needed for agencies that utilize the Acquisitions subsystem in Momentum.  Otherwise, a vendor profile is not needed.

VSS allows users the ability to search, view, and submit messages. This functionality is accessible from the Vendor menu and other convenient locations.
