Messages Overview

Vendor Self Service (VSS) allows users the ability to search, view, and submit new messages. Correspondence added to a Momentum transaction associated with a VSS transaction is viewable in VSS as a message. Users may search for messages from within a transaction and add new messages to transactions in VSS that transmit to Momentum; additionally, users may submit account-level messages which also transmit to Momentum. The user's email address defaults from the VSS profile email address to the “From” email address on messages, but may be modified if desired.

Agencies may establish if messages submitted in VSS will require manual acceptance in Momentum prior to being associated with the Momentum transaction. In all cases, the appropriate agency workgroup receives email notification of the new message.

VSS users may opt in to email notifications that are generated when messages are added to VSS transactions. Users must specify their email notification preferences on the Vendor Information Tab for each VSS transaction.
